This Privacy Policy explains what personal data JobPilot AI (“we”, “us”) collects when you use jobpilot.ai and related services, how we use it, and the rights you have. We designed JobPilot AI to collect only what we need to help you find, understand, and apply for jobs.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: email, name, password hash, chosen language.
- Profile data: job preferences, skills, experience, location, resume you upload.
- Activity data: saved jobs, applications you log, search filters, matches computed for you.
- Technical data: device type, browser, coarse location derived from IP, and standard security logs.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
2. How we use your data
- To match you with verified jobs from third-party sources.
- To power the AI copilot (resume review, cover letters, interview prep).
- To keep your account secure and prevent abuse.
- To improve the service (aggregated, anonymised analytics only).
We never sell personal data. We do not share your identity with the third-party job sources — we only send anonymous, aggregated query patterns.
3. AI processing
When you use AI features, we send the minimum context needed (for example the job description and the relevant sections of your profile or resume) to our AI provider. Prompts and responses are not used to train third-party models. You can disable AI features at any time from Settings.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is limited by role and audited. Resumes are stored in a private storage bucket accessible only to you.
5. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access and download your data from the Settings page.
- Correct or update any field on your profile.
- Delete your account, which permanently removes your profile, resume, saved jobs, applications, and matches.
- Withdraw consent for AI features.

6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage for session, language preference, and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Changes to this policy
We will publish material changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of JobPilot AI after changes means you accept the updated policy.
